A new community starting September 2026
The Environment: Digital Detox
Location: The evening takes place in—a home or quiet setting in neighborhoods around Lake Nona. We welcome all guests.
Aesthetic: The space encourages digital detox. The space is curated with physical Bibles, books, and candles to create a sensory “Sabbath” from digital saturation.
The Food: The “Table” as Equalizer
The Meal: A long, lingering meal is served around a large communal table.
Spiritual Direction Integration: Borrowing from ancient Christian models of soul care, the meal is not just for calories but for “hospitality of the soul”.
The Conversation: A Shelter for Honest Questions
The discussion moves beyond small talk to engage with “Ultimate Questions”.
Questions might include:
"What does peace in your life look like?"
"What was the best thing that you saw God do in your week?"
"How can we do something good and love our neighborhood?"
The Opening: Music
We sometimes begin the evening with some acoustic music or quiet time for personal reflection.
The Middle: Spiritual Formation
The middle of the evening has time reflecting upon some aspect of Scripture.
Spiritual Practice: This may involve Lectio Divina, Examen, or another historic Christian practice for meditating upon Scripture.
Reflection: We provide questions for deeper spiritual formation.
The Sending: The evening concludes not with production, but with quiet reflection.
Spiritual Practice: This may involve contemplative prayer, or a brief liturgy reclaiming your body and soul as a recipient of God's grace.
